Additional Cabins
The remit from client was, if possible, to extend the living quarters into the adjacent mechanical workshop area of the installation.
ARCADION designed and installed the fire protection and systems to make the area an A60 rated package and installed 5 additional cabins with en-suite facilities.
There were various structural challenges which included installing a stair connecting the two areas and when completed the penetration into the existing accommodation module.
Looking for innovative ideas to reduce offshore installation time, deck penetrations were designed out and the en-suite facilities drain to a new marine vacuum sewage recovery system which was sized to allow further expansion of the facilities.
